The Bronx Bombers were back in full force on Saturday, narrowly beating the Blue Jays 9-8!

Undoubtedly, one of the best sites to see is a Judge 425-foot home run followed by a Giancarlo Stanton homer in the same inning! Aaron Judge, in his element at the plate, went 2 for 3 with two walks and a two-run home run. Alongside him, Giancarlo Stanton was a force to be reckoned with, going 3 for 4 at the plate with a home run in the first inning. The new Yankees star, Juan Soto, also had a stellar day, going 2 for 3 with 2 RBIs and 2 walks. And let's not forget Anthony Rizzo, who hammered his first home run of the season with a two-run home run in the 5th inning! Together, the Yankees had 10 hits, 7 walks, and were only struck-out 5 times.

Clark Schmidt pitched 4.1 innings on Saturday evening for the Yankees, allowing 2 earned runs, 6 hits, 3 walks, and striking out 4 batters. As the traditional number-five starter in the rotation, I can't ask for much more, as he still has little major-league pitching experience. Unfortunately, the bullpen stunk tonight as Luke Weaver came in for relief after Schmidt and did not look, pitching 2 innings and allowing 3 earned runs. Ian Hamilton, who was great at the start of the season, had his first lousy appearance as he pitched 0.2 innings, allowing 2 hits, 1 walk, and 3 earned runs. Thankfully, Clay Holmes came in and closed the game out to save the win for the Yankees!

The Yankees record is now 7-2 with one more day game against the Blue Jays. After the Jays, the Yankees have a homestand against the winless Marlins, setting the stage for some more exciting wins. This strong start to the season is a promising sign for the team's future performance, and I'm sure all Yankees fans are eagerly anticipating the upcoming games!
