The Yankees Win the Series Finale 8-3 over the Blue Jays! Read the Highlights

The Yankees beat the Blue Jays 8-3 to win the third series of the season and keep the Yanks atop the AL EAST!

The Yankees offense was led by the hot hand in the DH slot, Mr. Giancarlo Stanton! Stanton woke-up the Yankee fans at the stadium, who were sleeping because of the team's minimal offensive performance, with a monster 417-foot grandslam to bring in four runs. This is Stanton's second home run in two days and his third this season. He just has one game with over one hit but he is starting to at least average one hit per game. Apart from Stanton, the Yankees' other three runs were from a walk to Rizzo with the bases loaded, an RBI flyout from Soto, and a wild pitch allowing the speedster Anthony Volpe to steal home. Volpe is still batting incredibly well for the Yankees, as he went 3 for 4 on Sunday and he now has a .424 batting average and a .486 on-base percentage. I don't understand why he isn't hitting leadoff in the lineup yet, especially when Gleyber Torres struggles to get more than one hit per game. WAKE UP, AARON BOONE! He gets multiple hits per game, he had two steals today and has multiple on the season already! Put him first in the lineup!

Luis Gil made his second start for the Yanks this season, and he certainly did not disappoint. Gil pitched 4.1 innings, striking out 8 batters and allowing only 2 hits and 2 earned runs. Gil's stats should have been better, but Angel Hernandez, the most hated umpire in baseball, was being an ASS behind the plate and screwed him on several should have been strike calls. After Gil, thankfully, the Yankee's bullpen was solid today as they only allowed 3 hits and 2 walks.

The Yankees have won the first three series of the season, bringing their record to 8-2. Starting Monday, the Yankees will host a three-game series against the winless Marlins. I'm expecting another series win!
