The Yankees score 15 runs for the second day in a row to win 15-5 over the Brewers to win the series!
The New York Yankees had an impressive game on Sunday afternoon against the Milwaukee Brewers, with a total of 15 hits, 6 walks, and 3 home runs. Aaron Judge continued to shine as he went 3 for 4, hitting a massive 441-foot home run in the first inning to set the tone for the Yankees. The team then went through a dry spell for three innings before Anthony Volpe, who was celebrating his birthday, hit a three-run home run and went 2 for 4 on the day. In the 6th inning, Torres, Trevino, Soto, and Judge all hit singles that led to five RBIs, while Cabrera scored on a wild pitch, resulting in a six-run inning for the Yankees. Cabrera and Trevino both had RBIs in the 7th inning, and Rizzo hit a home run in the 8th inning to give the Yankees their 15th and final run of the game.
Marcus Stroman had a rough outing on Sunday, pitching for only 4.0 innings. He allowed six hits, five walks, and four earned runs. Stroman started off well, but in the fifth inning, he fell apart as the Brewers scored four runs off an RBI double and a three-run home run. Marinaccio took over in the fifth inning, but unfortunately, he let up another run. Then the Yankee's bullpen closed out the game, preserving a massive ten-run lead.
The Yankees won the series against the Brewers and are now heading to Baltimore to play a four-game set against the Orioles. Let's hope they can secure another series victory!
