Judge is due for an AL MVP performance in 2024.

Let's talk about our captain, our leader, the best hitter in baseball, the tallest major leaguer, the one and only number 99 Aaron Judge!!!!

Even with the star-studded new Yankees that the organization collected over the offseason, Aaron Judge is still the best player on the team. The five-time all-star is coming off a pretty good season, and I think he is due for a great MVP performance in 2024. Last year, Judge hit .267, which is below his career average but still not too bad. He had an .406 on-base percentage, far above the league average. In 2022, Judge had 111 walks, and in 2023, he had 88 walks! Partner those walks with his constantly high batting average, and all the baseball statistics nerds will tell you he is one of the top talents in the MLB.

This 2024 season, we should be expecting an increased batting average of around .285, a high count of walks, and let's hope for 50 home runs. There is some speculation on where he will be hitting in the lineup, as Aaron Boone moved him into several different spots last year. I personally think he should be allowed to consistently hit third behind high on-base percentage hitters like LeMahieu and Soto. Still, it wouldn't surprise me if Boone makes him hit second like he had Judge do several times last year, which did confuse me as to why you would waste a premier bat like his in that position. Regardless, Judge at the plate with Rizzo and Stanton hitting behind him should scare the living S@#T out of any pitcher that faces the Yankee lineup this year.

As long as he stays healthy, Judge should be on the field for around 130 games. I want Judge to get the AL MVP that he deserved in 2017, and with a healthy full season of baseball, he can get what he deserves in 2024. Let's all rise and root for Judge this year and propel him to an AL MVP performance!
