The Yankees Dominate the A’s and win 7-3! Read the Highlights!
The New York Yankees, with their collective power, triumphed over the Oakland A's with a 7-3 victory on Wednesday!
The New York Yankees played a great game on Wednesday, hitting three home runs, eleven hits, and earning four walks. Aaron Judge had an excellent performance today, hitting 2 for 5 with a two-run home run in the first inning. Hopefully, this will start a hitting streak for him, and we will see more of his captain-like home runs at the plate! Juan Soto hit 1 for 3 and had a massive 416-foot home run, while Anthony Rizzo also had a great game, hitting 2 for 4 and earning his second home run in two days with a 417-foot home run in the 5th inning. Austin Wells also gave an outstanding hitting performance, hitting 2 for 3 and earning a walk, as he works hard to improve his very bad batting average of .132.
Clark Schmidt had a good outing on the mound on Wednesday as he went 5.1 innings, allowing four hits and three earned runs. He collected six strikeouts, and the three runs came from one bad pitch, which turned into a three-run home run. Luke Weaver and Ian Hamilton pitched the last 3.2 innings perfectly, as they did not allow a single hit or walk. It's great to see Ian Hamilton bounce back after a rough outing last Friday!
The New York Yankees are poised to secure another victory on Thursday, aiming to clinch the series against the A's. With no rest day, they embark on a road trip after Thursday to Milwaukee and Baltimore, promising more thrilling baseball action!
