The Yankees Pull off a 6-5 Victory in the 11th Inning : Read the Highlights!

The Yankees held on through 11 innings to beat the Diamondbacks 6-5!

Recapping the offense, I’m thrilled to report that the Yankees were on fire on Wednesday. Gleyber Torres and Anthony Rizzo had a two-hit game, and Alex Verdugo's two-run home run in the 10th inning was a game-changer. But the real hero of the day was Aaron Judge! The Captain is back in action, and he made sure everyone knew it. Judge delivered a stellar performance, going 2-4 with a walk, a two-run home run in the 4th inning, and an RBI double in the 11th that sealed the victory. After a slow start in the first six games, Judge's impressive performance on Wednesday is a promising sign of him getting into a hitting groove.

Carlos Rodón took the mound for the Yankees on Wednesday afternoon and pitched a solid game. Rodón pitched 5.1 innings, allowing 7 hits, 2 earned runs, 2 walks, and struck out 3 batters. After Rodón, the Yankees brought in relief pitcher Ian Hamilton, who once again proved his reliability. Hamilton was impeccable, allowing 0 hits and collecting 4 strikeouts in the 2.2 innings he pitched. He's becoming a pillar of strength in the Yankees bullpen, having pitched in three games this year, allowing only 1 hit in 5 total innings and collecting 6 strikeouts. Unfortunately, Clay Holmes had a tough day. In his fourth game this year, he came in to close the game for the Yankees and blew the two-run lead in the 10th inning, sending the game into the 11th. This is the second game he got bailed out, as he almost blew the last game in the Houston series.

Regardless, the Yankees picked up the 6th win of the season and won the series 2-1 over the Diamondbacks!
