The Yankees Lose 2-4 Against the Orioles, Again! Read the Recap.

The Yankees lost another game to Baltimore, 2-4, on Tuesday. Someone wake up the Yankees' offense!

On Tuesday, Nestor Cortes pitched for the Yankees for 6.0 innings. Cortes had a great start and pitched the first three innings well. However, the Orioles managed to score a run in the second inning due to two bad defensive plays from Anthony Rizzo and Gleyber Torres, who have been struggling defensively lately. Unfortunately, Cortes struggled in the 4th inning and allowed Baltimore to score three runs, as they took advantage with a barrage of hits and walks. After Cortes, Luke Weaver took over for relief in the 7th and 8th innings and had a great performance, allowing only one hit and collecting three strikeouts.

That being said, the Yankees offense struggled and managed to score only two solo home runs, which were hit by Austin Wells and Juan Soto respectively. It was Wells' first home run of the year, while Soto's was his 8th. Both players also had a multi-hit game on Tuesday, unlike their teammates. In total, the Yankees only had five hits and four walks. After scoring 15 runs in two games against Milwaukee, the Yankees look tired and currently need more energy to win against the reigning AL East champions. They must improve their offensive game and score more runs to support their pitching if they want to compete with the Orioles, who are showing last year's 101-win season was not a fluke!

The Yankees still have two more games in this series to pick up one or two wins. Luis Gil will take the mound for the Yankees on Wednesday, and let's hope he brings his strikeout power to Baltimore and leads the Yankees to victory.
