The Yankees Win 2-0 over the Orioles! Read The Recap!!!!!

The Yankees win 2-0 in a close defensive battle! Oswaldo Cabrera put the team on his back to give the Yankees the Win!

Luis Gil pitched outstanding on Wednesday for the Yankees. He pitched 6.1 scoreless innings, giving up only two hits and one walk and striking out five batters. Considering his impressive 2-1 record, a 3.19 ERA, and a high strikeout count, it's clear that Gil has the potential to become a future star pitcher for the Yankees. Even though the other members of the Yankees' starting rotation have been doing well so far this season, no one should even consider bumping Gil out of the rotation when Cole returns. Caleb Ferguson, Ian Hamilton, and Clay Holmes came in to relieve Gil and pitched the last 2.2 innings perfectly, holding the Orioles scoreless.

The New York Yankees' offense struggled once again on Wednesday's game, only managing to collect four hits and one walk while being struck out eight times. However, there were still a few bright spots! Juan Soto went 1 for 3 and extended his hitting streak to nine games, and Oswaldo Cabrera, who went 2 for 3, hit a crucial two-run home run in the 5th inning to secure the Yankees' victory. Although Oswaldo Cabrera has cooled down a bit since his impressive start to the season, his home run against the Orioles' best pitcher shows that he deserves a permanent spot in the infield for the Yankees. When DJ LeMahieu returns, the Yankees might have to make some tough decisions. Gleyber Torres has not been performing well, both at batting and fielding, so he might have to go to make room for LeMahieu.

The Yankees need to carry this momentum into Thursday's afternoon game to collect another win and split the series with the Orioles!
